Bulls beat Pistons 99-83 in Hamilton’s return

Richard Hamilton scored 14 points in his return to The Palace, and the Chicago Bulls shut down the Detroit Pistons in a 99-83 victory Wednesday night. Hamilton started after missing the previous two games with a sore left groin. He received a warm welcome from Detroit fans, many of whom stood and applauded the veteran guard who spent nine years with the Pistons before being waived prior to this season

AUBURN HILLS – The confusion of the early winter has eased for the Detroit Pistons. They are rebuilding and there is risk in reading too much into any victory, like the Pistons earned Monday against the Orlando Magic. Still, after a revolving-door training camp, the work-in-progress installation of a new system under first-year coach Lawrence Frank, and two preseason games – six fewer than usual – the Pistons have overcome a 0-3 start with back-to-back victories over Indiana and Orlando, and some things have improved already.

Detroit Pistons Release 2011-2012 Schedule

FOX 17 Sports December 6, 2011 AUBURN HILLS, Mich.— The Detroit Pistons today announced their 2011-2012 schedule.  The NBA is playing a 66-game season due to the prolonged lockout . Highlights of the Pistons shedule include the season opener in Indiana on December 26.  The Pistons first home game is two days later against Cleveland.  Detroit has 18 sets of back-to-back games and two sets of three games in three nights. In July, 2010, Ben Wallace agreed to a two-year, $3.8 million contract with the Detroit Pistons, but after the team’s season of buffoonery , and an offseason where Wallace incurred DUI and weapons charges , it was unclear whether the 15-year veteran would opt to retire. When players were allowed to practice at team facilities last Thursday for the first time since the lockout began, Wallace was the first player to show up in Auburn Hills. He declined to talk to the media on that day, but discussed the likelihood of returning to the team on Monday.
