AUBURN HILLS — The Detroit Pistons typically wrap up practice in the early afternoon. But late one night, coach Lawrence Frank still could hear a basketball bouncing on the court from his office. He looked out and saw Brandon Knight firing up jumpers

Posted by Inside Hoops Dec 17 Detroit Pistons President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars announced today that the team has re-signed guard Rodney Stuckey. According to the Detroit News, the deal is for three years and $25 million. “We are pleased to re-sign Rodney Stuckey,” said Joe Dumars, Pistons President of Basketball Operations

Richard Hamilton , who won an NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons , has signed a contract to join the Chicago Bulls , the NBA team announced. The veteran guard reportedly has a three-year contract worth $15 million dollars to join the Bulls where he will team up with the league’s most valuable player Derrick Rose in the back court.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves and assistant general manager Tony Ronzone, a former Detroit Pistons scout, have agreed to part ways. A team spokesman confirmed the change today. Mike Cristaldi said Ronzone and the Timberwolves mutually agreed to part ways after just over one season together.

Kuester was 57-107 over two years with Detroit, which failed to make the postseason in consecutive seasons for the first time since missing it three straight times from 1993-95.

The head coach’s firing was a long time in the making . ESPN has more : “The Detroit Pistons fired coach John Kuester on Sunday, four days after Tom Gores completed an agreement to purchase the team from Karen Davidson. Kuester was 57-107 over two years with Detroit, which failed to make the postseason in consecutive seasons for the first time since missing it three straight times from 1993-95. This past season was a dreary one, with the proud franchise making more news for internal squabbling than any on-court accomplishments.

By DAVE PEMBERTON JRC News Service It’s finally official. Tom Gores is the new owner of the Detroit Pistons. The sale of Palace Sports and Entertainment and the Detroit Pistons to Gores and his investment firm Platinum Equity was formally completed Wednesday, following unanimous approval by the NBA’s board of governors on Tuesday.
