The Detroit Pistons have new owners, and while those guys have yet to figure out how to improve the roster, they’ve turned the locker room area into a much nicer place (as part of a $9 million facelift for the Palace of Auburn Hills).

The Detroit Pistons are looking for singers interested in belting out the national anthem before the team’s home games. Tryouts are scheduled for Wednesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Singers are to be given 80 seconds to sing the anthem a cappella on The Palace floor

Three of the team’s eight games will be played at The Palace, featuring contests against the Minnesota Timberwolves (October 9), Charlotte Bobcats (October 23) and Miami HEAT (October 26)
