Could shortened NBA season help Detroit Pistons…

The Harvard College Sports Analysis Collective is saying what some people believe: A shortened NBA season could be good for lower-level teams like the Detroit Pistons when it comes to reaching the postseason. If the NBA lockout is resolved and results in a shortened regular season, the less-talented teams in the league will have a better change of advancing to the playoffs, according to a Bloomberg News report . The players have been locked out since the Collective Bargaining Agreement expired July 1 and last week commissioner David Stern canceled the first two weeks of the regular season.

Report: John Kuester out as Detroit Pistons head coach

In a move many have been expecting since the season ended, ESPN.com’s Ric Bucher is reporting John Kuester will not be returning to coach the Detroit Pistons next season.
