AUBURN HILLS – Detroit Pistons reserves Jonas Jerebko and Will Bynum provided the fourth-quarter spark in turning a close game through three quarters into a 102-95 victory over the injury-depleted Orlando Magic on Tuesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Jerebko broke a tie and gave the Pistons the lead for good with a 3-pointer to start his seven-point fourth quarter, and Bynum added all six of his points in the quarter – with all their scoring coming in the first eight minutes of the period – as Detroit pushed the lead to 13 with those two in the game. All 13 of those fourth-quarter points by the bench duo came in the first eight minutes.

CBSSports.com wire reports March 26, 2012 WASHINGTON — With three minutes left in a game Pistons coach Lawrence Frank called “ugly, grimy, grindy” — and his team won, beating the Washington Wizards 79-77 — the aesthetic highlight, without a doubt, came when Detroit rookie Brandon Knight got drenched while hurdling over the team’s sideline seats in futile pursuit of a loose ball. Knight upended a jug of energy drink and about a dozen paper cups Monday night, spraying himself and some seated teammates. Play was delayed for a bit while Knight toweled off — and some of the evening’s most enthusiastic applause came in response to overhead video-board replays of his valiant and athletic effort

AUBURN HILLS – The Detroit Pistons couldn’t close out close games earlier in the year. Now, it’s becoming a specialty. Tayshaun Prince’s runner with 24.3 seconds left gave the Pistons an 86-85 lead, then they withstood a final shot by Joe Johnson that missed – and another by Josh Smith that went in, but too late – to beat the Atlanta Hawks.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.— In his return to The Palace to face his former team, Richard Hamilton wanted to keep his emotions under control. “I was just like, `Man, please don’t start crying or anything crazy like that — just hurry up and let the ball get thrown up so I can go out there and play,”’ Hamilton said. Hamilton scored 14 points and the Chicago Bulls shut down the Detroit Pistons in a 99-83 victory Wednesday night.

The Detroit Pistons have new owners, and while those guys have yet to figure out how to improve the roster, they’ve turned the locker room area into a much nicer place (as part of a $9 million facelift for the Palace of Auburn Hills).
Running low on time today, i’ll be back tomorrow hopefully with some more news.
